Carnaval de la Vida Recap

Carnaval de la Vida is an annual silent auction that supports the Suncoast Waldorf School. Over the years, our auction has grown into an event that is known for high-quality, unique crafted items and one-of-a-kind artwork. ¬† 2011′s auction was our most successful to date, ¬†raising over $10,000 to provide tuition assistance and scholarships to families in need and fund other developing programs to better serve our students.

This year’s event brought together people from all over the community. Our auction tables were bursting with goods and services beneath a ceiling full of hanging paper lanterns and sweeping banners of purple, black and pink, and the piles of Mardi Gras beads on each table brightly shone. The lively entertainment and the Cajun food were outstanding. The masks worn by the attendees ranged from elegant to outrageous and made the night feel magical.

We appreciate all of the people who came out to celebrate with us and give many thanks to all who donated such wonderfully varied goods and services and look forward to the event next year!
